An informal look at some of the island's culinary offerings.
Blue Rare Steakhouse (Holetown, St. James) Tel. 432-6557 | |
| Blue Rare is very dressy and very expensive, but you'll not be disappointed with the quality of the food. Once two old chattel houses, this renovated building has now become one of the island's most elegant places to dine. |
Cafe Indigo (Holetown, St. James) Tel. 432-0968
| Reasonable english breakfast. Rather overpriced we thought! Fun to sit and watch the Holetown traffic go by. |
Cocomos (Holetown, St.James) Tel. 432-0134 | |
| Cocomos is a very reasonably priced bistro-style restaurant. The menu is quite varied, with an assortment of interesting soups and a seemingly never-ending supply of flying fish dishes. |
David's Place by the Sea (St. Lawrence Gap, Christ Church) Tel. 435-9755
| Included on this list only to advise our renters to steer clear, David's Place has a wonderful view of the southwest coast, and very little else going for it. Overpriced food that tastes as if it's out of a can! |
Il Tempio (Fitts Village, St. James) Tel. 432-2057 | |
| Often heralded as Pavarotti's favorite restaurant, the Italian cuisine of Il Tempio is tasty but overpriced. |
Mannie's (Mullins Beach) Tel. 419-4511
| Trendy beach bar with live steel band on sunday afternoons. Bistro style food with Bajan favourites. |
Olives (2nd st. Holetown) Tel. 432-2112 | |
| Reasonably priced, good food. now open for lunch too. |
Patisserie Bistro Flindt (Holetown, St.James) Tel. 432-2626 | |
| A great place for a full English breakfast, Patisserie Bistro Flindt also has an excellent, albeit small, lunch menu. You can also choose from their selection of fresh pastries to take back with you to Sunset Blue.
The sandwiches are a great buy for the flight home! |

The Lone Star (St. James) Tel. 419-0599 | |
